Abstract
This experiment was conducted to know the most convenient method of garlic production and reduction of garlic weight for cultivation. Low temperature was treated to the common clove and bulbil produced from seed bulbil of Cheju, Itsuwase and Sanghai garlic strains. The results were as follow; 1. Plant height showed little difference among strains but growth in length was retarded as the sowing time was delayed. Plant height of garlic clove was longer by 20cm than that of bulbil. 2. Number of leaves Showed the same tendency between common clove and buldil. Lower leaves started yellowish color after 15th of April. Number of leaves than that of bulbil. 3. Diameter of sheath was developed fast as the sowing time is earlier, and showed fast as the sowing time is earlier, and showed considerable difference between common clove and bulbil. 4. Yields from cove planting was higher by 2-3 times than that of bulbil and more yield can be produced from earlier planting. 5. Bulbil utilization of the southern strain is very beneficial and it is believed that seed garlic supply system must be established in short future.
